Rolls Royce Phantom

Every Rolls-Royce Phantom is a masterpiece built by hand at the company’s Goodwood manufacturing facility in England. Unlike mass-produced vehicles that roll off an assembly line within hours, the Phantom’s creation is a meticulous process that takes several weeks to complete. Every part of the car—from the engine block to the final coat of paint—is handled with extreme care by experienced artisans, many of whom have dedicated decades to their craft.

Even the paint job on a Phantom is a form of fine art. The vehicle receives multiple layers of paint and clear lacquer, followed by hand polishing for up to five hours to achieve a flawless mirror-like finish. Rolls-Royce also offers custom colors, and if a customer desires a shade that doesn’t exist, the brand will create a one-off hue based on a sample, such as a favorite piece of fabric, jewelry, or even a pet’s fur. It’s this level of personalization that makes the Phantom stand apart.

The woodwork inside the Phantom is another highlight. Rolls-Royce sources the finest open-pore woods from around the world, including walnut, oak, and even rare species like Macassar Ebony. The wood is then shaped, polished, and matched by eye to ensure the grain flows consistently from one panel to the next. The marquetry—the art of creating images from pieces of veneer—is often used to create custom designs in the dash or doors, such as family crests, city skylines, or abstract artwork.
